Wednesday, March 27, 6:45 p.m. | $10K to Support Study Abroad Scholarships
An anonymous donor has committed $10,000 to provide study abroad scholarships for College of Education students.
Earlier this year, Dean Mary Ann Danowitz endowed a study abroad scholarship, the College of Education Study Abroad Awards. Its first recipient was Chantal Warfield, an education general studies major and African studies minor who participated last summer in the five-week STEM and Liberal Studies in the UK course based in London.
“For me, study abroad should not be an added experience. It should be an opportunity that all students at NC State have,” Danowitz said earlier this year. “It’s not only an investment in them. It’s an investment in their community; it’s an investment in their capabilities of working with teams of people who are different from themselves.”
