Future Teachers of North Carolina 2025: Eastern Symposium Prepares High School Students to Launch Careers in Education

Nearly 100 high school students and recent high school graduates who are interested in teaching attended the Future Teachers of North Carolina 2025: Eastern Symposium on NC State’s campus this week, where they experienced college life and found out what it takes to become an extraordinary educator through keynotes, panels, interactive workshops and a simulated student teaching activity. 

This free, three-day event was hosted by NC State’s College of Education, UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Education and UNC-Pembroke’s School of Education.
