Why did you enter the field of education?
As a high school student who was at-risk, my teachers became my parents. They made a huge difference in my beliefs regarding the importance of education and continued to pour into me as I went through school. They kept up with me in regards to my success and personal matters and showed me that they truly cared. That definitely made a difference in my life and I wanted to do the same for someone else.

Why did you choose to earn your degree from the NC State College of Education?
The staff members that I met [at NC State College of Education] were always positive and enthusiastic. There was also a sense of community and family. The program was rated as one of the best. I also choose to continue my education at NC State College of Education because of the relationships that I have formed and the level of rigor throughout the programs that I have been a part of.
