NC State Ranked #68 in World, #1 in NC in Education and Educational Research Category in U.S. News’ Best Global Universities

NC State University has been ranked No. 68 in the world in the education and educational research category in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Global Universities Subject Rankings, making it the top globally ranked university for this field of study in North Carolina. This is the first year that the education and educational research category was included in U.S. News’ global rankings that include universities from around the world.

U.S. News Ranks NC State College of Education #37 in Nation, 4 Programs in Specialty Categories

For the second straight year, NC State’s College of Education ranked in the Top 40 among all graduate colleges of education in the nation and had multiple graduate degree programs ranked in education specialty categories in the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate School Rankings. 
Since the 2017 publication of the U.S. News' Best Graduate School Rankings, the NC State College of Education has improved 28 spots in the rankings.

U.S. News Ranks NC State College of Education #31 in Nation, 5 Programs in Specialty Categories

The NC State College of Education is tied at No. 31 in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 Best Graduate School Rankings among 393 graduate colleges of education in the nation. That is an improvement of 14 spots over last year. U.S. News also ranked programs within the college in five education specialty categories: Educational Administration and Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary Teacher Education, Higher Education Administration and Secondary Teacher Education. 
The College of Education has risen in the US News' rankings over the past three years and is up 14 spots since 2017.

NC State Education Continues to Move Up in U.S. News Ranking, Now No. 45 in Nation

For the third straight year, the NC State College of Education has moved up in the U.S. News’ rankings, hitting a new high at No. 45 in the nation in the latest edition released March 12. This is a jump of 14 spots since the 2017 edition. The college was also was ranked No. 22 in the nation in the Educational Administration and Supervision speciality category for its outstanding principal preparation program.
