As a biology and physical science lateral entry teacher at Athens Drive High School, Alexandra van Dorsten ’19MAT chose NC State’s College of Education to earn her teaching license. At the end of May, she will move to Ghana to teach science as a Peace Corps volunteer.

Ashley Tice Roseno ’19PHD is a registered dietician who sought an adult education program to help her better understand how to work with adults in nutrition settings. She developed a passion for training educators how to use food and nutrition as a tool to teaching math and science.

Karina Simoni ’19MED, author of the children’s book The Farm on the Fuzzy Edge of the Map, will graduate with a Master of Education in Learning Design and Technology. She will start a position as an instructional designer, where she hopes to improve adult education.
