Kevin Oliver, Angela Wiseman Provide Professional Development for In-service Teachers Through Cultural Immersion, Digital Tools in Germany

Fifteen educators will have the opportunity to learn new digital tools and explore cultural topics during a professional development trip to Germany, hosted by Professor Kevin Oliver, Ph.D. and Associate Professor Angela Wiseman, Ph.D., this summer.

Middle School Math Teacher Nick Musgrave: ‘Nothing Has Prepared Me or Advanced My Career Like Pathway to Practice NC Did’

Nick Musgrave was two years into teaching math at Thomasville Middle School when he began Pathway to Practice NC, a joint program offered by UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State University designed to help lateral entry teachers like him earn their full teaching license. “The program has absolutely changed the way I teach,” he says.

Teaching Fellow and Science Education Major Caroline Alexander ’20 Selected for STEM Pre-Service Teacher Education Scholarship Program

NC State College of Education student and Teaching Fellow Caroline Alexander ’20 has been awarded the STEM Pre-Service Teacher Education Scholarship through the North Carolina Space Grant. A science education major, Alexander will receive a $4,000 scholarship.
