Tia Canada ’22MED, a graduate student in the NC State College of Education’s higher education administration program, has been selected as one of seven graduate students to receive NC State’s Witherspoon Graduate Fellowship.

Dion Harry ’24PHD, a doctoral student in the NC State College of Education’s Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development’s higher education program area of study, has been selected as one of seven graduate students to receive the Witherspoon Graduate Fellowship.

Scholarship Support Helped Sarah Schuetz ’21MED Prepare for School Counseling Career Through Hands-on Experiences, Earn Her Master’s Degree

Sarah Schuetz ’21MED always enjoyed working with children and adolescents. But it was her experience as a member of Camp Kesem while an undergraduate that changed her life and her career journey. Wanting to incorporate psychology and counseling within a school setting, Schuetz enrolled in the school counseling program, where scholarship support helped her earn her master’s degree and prepared her to become a successful school counselor.

For Brittany Regan ‘21MED, the next step is to become a literacy coach. The NC State College of Education prepared her to be a supportive leader for teachers, and she will graduate in May 2021 with a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in new literacies and global learning.

Meet Briana Campbell ’21MED: ‘I Believe There is Power in Being Vulnerable and Sharing One’s Story’

Briana Campbell ’21MED has wanted to be a member of a helping profession for as long as she can remember, but she was ultimately drawn to counseling because of her passion for hearing other peoples’ stories and worldviews. She hopes to use her skills to expand counseling services to historically underserved communities when she graduates with a Master of Education in clinical mental health counseling in May 2021.
