Belk Center Postdoctoral Scholar Melissa Whatley Co-authors White Paper to Provide Overview of International Higher Education Research and Propose Organizational Framework for Future Research in Field

Research on international higher education has expanded and diversified over the past few decades, but Belk Center Postdoctoral Scholar Melissa Whatley said an increase in structure and organization in the field could help provide further clarity for research that informs policies and practices. To begin to address this issue, she co-authored a recently released white paper entitled “International Higher Education Research: The State of the Field.”

Professor Carla Johnson Leads the Development of First Handbook of Research on STEM Education, Featuring Contributions from College of Education Faculty

Several College of Education faculty members have contributed chapters in the recently released Handbook of Research on STEM Education, on which Professor Carla Johnson, Ed.D., served as lead editor. In addition to that work, Johnson has also helped pilot a new STEAM curriculum that is being piloted throughout China.
