College of Education Students Share Words of Appreciation, Thanks for Faculty and Staff During Global Advising Week
NC State College of Education students are showing their gratitude for faculty and staff this week in celebration of Global Advising Week, which runs from May 2-8. In recognition of the week set aside to celebrate the work of advisors, tutors, counselors and coaches around the world, NC State established the “Thank an Advisor” program to recognize outstanding advisors who go the extra mile to shape students through their mentorship and dedication.
118 People Chosen as North Carolina Teaching Fellows

Growing up in Fuquay-Varina with parents who are NC State alumni, Crystal Espey ’11, ’18MSA always wanted to be a part of the Wolfpack. A two-time graduate of the College of Education, Espey now works for the college as the director of Teaching Fellows at NC State.

When the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic hit, Teaching Fellows Coordinator Crystal Espey ‘11, ‘18MSA knew she needed to maintain the Teaching Fellows’ sense of community. So, she moved their Monday forum sessions online and transformed them into virtual dinners.
Crystal Espey Named Coordinator of Teaching Fellows at NC State Program
Crystal Espey ’11, ’18 MSA is the coordinator of the N.C. Teaching Fellows at NC State program, effective Aug. 13. She’s a former N.C. Teaching Fellow who previously taught high school math in Wake County for six years. She also earned a Master of School Administration from the NC State College of Education.
