This May, three students from the first class of Teaching Fellows since North Carolina state legislators re-established the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program in 2018 will graduate with their bachelor’s degrees.

Since Andrea Sutton Thomas ‘20EDD began her doctorate program in the fall of 2009, she has experienced plenty of changes, but she never stopped working toward her goal. This month, she will earn her Ed.D. in Adult and Community College Education.

Shanna Darwish '20MED and her daughter, Sara, motivated each other as family and fellow NC State students while they worked toward their degrees. Now, they will graduate together. Shanna with her Master of Education and Sara with bachelor's degrees in political science and Arabic.
