PD 578 – Courageous Conversations in Community #1: Preparing the Next Generation of Culturally Competent Teachers

The first Courageous Conversations in Community will include College of Education faculty who prepare future teachers and an alum of our teacher education program. Paula McAvoy, Ph.D., and Crystal Chen Lee, Ed.D., along with College of Education alum and teacher John Hensley will focus on the importance of preparing teachers to work effectively with diverse populations and how they approach this in the classroom context. The discussion is designed to increase knowledge and awareness for students, faculty, and staff within our College of Education community about effectively working with and creating more inclusive learning environments for diverse student populations.
