Tala Dahmash '24MED has spent the last decade as an English teacher and English as a second language (ESL) specialist in Dubai. To further grow as an educator, Dahmash decided to earn her master's degree in training and development at the NC State College of Education, and she will make the 15-hour flight from Dubai to Raleigh to attend her graduation ceremony.

My Student Experience: College of Education Students Explore Educational Opportunities in Eastern North Carolina on We Teach for NC Spring Break

A group of College of Education students had an opportunity to explore schools in Lenoir and Perquimans counties as part of the We Teach for NC Spring Break. On the trip, they visited classrooms, spoke with administrators and had an opportunity to learn more about the opportunities available to teachers and students in eastern North Carolina.
