NC State Celebrates Launch of Elevate, Welcomes Inaugural Cohort at Special Event

On March 20, 2025, NC State held a special event to celebrate the launch of Elevate and welcome the first cohort of seven students into the university’s new inclusive postsecondary education program for students with intellectual or developmental disabilities. “We are creating a program where every student in Elevate, like any NC State student, can find their talents and their gifts,” College of Education Dean Paola Sztajn said.

WUNC: New program for students with disabilities at NC State

North Carolina State University is now accepting applications for an inclusive post-secondary education program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, like autism or Down syndrome. "Elevate" is a four-year, non-degree program.
