Alamance Community College: ACC Honors Former President Algie Gatewood ’94EDD

Alamance Community College (ACC) has formally dedicated an area adjacent to the student commons area on its main campus as the Dr. Algie Gatewood Atrium, named for ACC President Emeritus Gatewood, who retired in July 2023 and earned his Doctor of Education from NC State's College of Education in 1994.

Alamance Community College President Algie Gatewood ’94EDD has received the NC State College of Education’s 2018 I.E. Ready Distinguished Leader Award, which recognizes alumni with distinguished careers with the North Carolina Community College System.
