As his career progressed, Dylan Stoneham ’18MED discovered a natural draw to training processes at the organization level. He wanted to explore how training opportunities not only created better working environments but how they empower employees. Now, he prepares to graduate with a master\u2019s degree in Training and Development to help others gain the skills they need to succeed in their careers.<\/em><\/p>\n

Activities:<\/strong> I am busy with learning more about technology-based learning solutions in organizations, cooking and my dog- Goose!<\/p>\n

I chose to earn a degree in Training and Development because. . .<\/strong>I realized additional academic credentials would greatly impact my career after discovering my draw towards training in organizations.<\/p>\n

I chose the NC State College of Education because. . .<\/strong>[it\u2019s] nationally recognized program gave me the flexibility to continue working, and I was encouraged to apply my professional experiences throughout my coursework.<\/p>\n

After graduation. . .<\/strong>I hope to play an active role in the implementation of interactive e-learning to enhance on-boarding training in global organizations.<\/p>\n

One lesson I learned while in my program is. . .<\/strong>Although academic philosophy and real-world application do not always perfectly align, research-based decisions are foundational to success.<\/p>\n
