NC State College of Education students served as counselors and mentors for the inaugural Leadership Institute for Future Teachers (LIFT), a program for students of color and bilingual students held virtually, July 26-31, 2020. “It was vital for me to serve in that capacity because of representation,” says Jessica Terrones ’22.

The NC State College of Education is seeking nominations for its Leadership Institute for Future Teachers (LIFT), a five-day, invitational residential summer program for bilingual students and students of color in high school who are interested in exploring a potential career in education and strengthening their leadership skills. The 2020 LIFT will be held June 14-June 18 on NC State's campus.
