NC State College of Education’s Excellence Fund Was Top Performing Fund on Day of Giving For Second Year in Row

For the second year in a row, the NC State College of Education’s Excellence Fund was the top performing fund on NC State’s Day of Giving, outperforming all other university funds in total number of gifts. 

In 2021, NC State College of Education supporters donated 492 gifts to the Excellence Fund, the most gifts donated to any university fund that day. In 2022, College of Education supporters donated 689 gifts to the Excellence Fund, which not only topped last year’s total, but was also the highest number of gifts to date to any fund across all four previous NC State Days of Giving.

Gifts to the College of Education’s Excellence Fund support four priority areas:

  • Student scholarships that make is possible for students to pursue their dreams and become extraordinary educators, 
  • Equity initiatives that address issues such as closing the opportunity gap and diversifying the teacher workforce, 
  • Unique student experiences that develop stronger educators
  • Educational innovation that helps faculty connect research to practice and increase opportunities for children and families across the state.

In total, the NC State College of Education received 808 gifts on NC State’s 2022 Day of Giving, raising more than $860,000 for the college, which will go toward ensuring the educational success of all learners.
