Amber McGregor Named NC State STEM Early College High School Liaison

RALEIGH — Amber McGregor has joined the NC State College of Education as the NC State STEM Early College High School Liaison, effective Oct. 9.

McGregor serves as the primary advisor for the NC State STEM Early College students, helping them to select and enroll in appropriate NC State courses that align with their career and major interests.

Additionally, she will work directly with the high school juniors in the classroom and teach a two-semester sequence of courses that emphasizes the students’ transition from high school to college and the meaningful exploration of goals, values, careers and majors.

McGregor has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from NC State and a Master of Public Health from East Carolina University. Previously, she was an assistant director with NC State Undergraduate Admissions and worked at UNC-Chapel Hill as the assistant director of Upward Bound and the pre-college liaison for health careers access programs.
