Dr. Terrell Strayhorn: Why Sense of Belonging Matters So Much for Black Students at White Institutions

Terrell StrayhornTerrell Strayhorn, Ph.D., the CEO and founder of Do Good Work Educational Consulting, will speak on  “Why Sense of Belonging Matters So Much for Black Students at White Institutions: Historical Contexts & Recent Survey Findings” Thursday, Feb. 15, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Poe 512.

Before starting his consulting firm that focuses on student access and success, Strayhorn was a professor and director of the Center for Higher Education Enterprise at The Ohio State University. He earned his master’s in education from the University and Virginia and Ph.D. in higher education from Virginia Tech.

The event is sponsored by the Department of Educational Leadership, Human Development and Policy and the Higher Education Administration Program.
