Information for Guests

  • For security purposes, large bags should be left in the cars. Diaper bags are permitted. Please remind your guests.
  • We will not secure any personal items for students, faculty, or guests.
  • Balloons are not allowed in Reynolds Coliseum and will be confiscated at the door. They will set off fire alarms if they touch the areas that monitors are located. Also, they are not allowed on the bike racks and will be confiscated from there as well. Balloons should be confined to their cars.
  • It is recommended that flowers be given in lieu of balloons.
  • There is no holding of seats and ushers will ask that items be removed from the seats if that is the case. Please let your guests know this.

  • Strollers should be left outside the auditorium and infants/small children should sit on the caregiver’s lap. Strollers do not fit in the seating area and cannot block the walls.

  • A reception will be held following the ceremony in the Grand Hall.
  • Other NC State colleges, departments, and several other universities in the immediate area are having their graduation ceremonies. As such, you may want to make your late lunch/early dinner reservations now as the venues fill up quickly.
  • A photographer will be on-site to take pictures.
