College of Education Graduation Information

The College of Education’s 2024 Spring Graduation Ceremony will be held Friday, May 3, 2024, in Reynolds Coliseum beginning at 5 p.m. Details for attendees are forthcoming.

Details About the Ceremony

The college’s Spring 2024 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, in Reynolds Coliseum, beginning at 5 p.m. All graduating students who participate in the ceremony will have their names called and walk across the stage. Doctoral students will also be hooded by faculty advisors. We expect the ceremony to last about 90-120 minutes.

Arrive at Reynolds Coliseum No Later Than 4:15 p.m.

All graduating students participating in the ceremony should arrive no later than 4:15 p.m. You should enter through the East Entrance at Reynolds Coliseum, which is the entrance closest to the Reynolds Coliseum parking lot and deck. When you arrive, go to the registration table and receive directions about where to go and how to line up.

Reception with Mr. and Ms. Wuf

A reception will immediately follow the graduation ceremony on Stafford Commons, the green space behind the Talley Student Union. There, we will have a photo booth set up where you can take photos with Mr. and Ms. Wuf.

Information about Parking

Colleges and departments will hold numerous ceremonies on campus in early May. To accommodate guests attending the ceremonies, Transportation will be applying “light hands” enforcement in all unreserved parking spaces. Guests will be able to park in any unreserved or unmarked parking space during this time. Guests for the College of Education’s Graduation Ceremony are encouraged to park in the Reynolds Coliseum deck. For guests who need ADA parking, there will be an increase in the number of ADA parking spaces inside Jeter Drive Parking Bays (beside Reynolds Coliseum).

Livestream of the Graduation Ceremony

The graduation ceremony will be livestreamed on the College of Education’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/NCStateCED for loved ones who cannot attend in person. We will begin the livestream about 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to show highlights of our graduating students.

Caps and Gowns

Graduating students will need to wear a cap and gown to participate in the College of Education’s graduation ceremony and University Commencement. Information about caps and gowns and how to order are here.

No Tickets Required; What Time Doors Open 

No tickets are required for guests. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. for all guests and at 4:15 p.m. for guests who need accessible seating. All guests should enter through the front doors at the North Entrance of Reynolds Coliseum.

Guests who Need Accessible Seating 

Guests who need accessible seating can enter Reynolds Coliseum through the front doors, or North Entrance, beginning at 4:15 p.m. When they enter Reynolds, they should look for staff who are holding up Accessible Seating signs. Our staff will assist guests toward the elevator inside the front doors on the left. Once guests exit the elevator, additional staff will assist them to the reserved accessible seating  on the second floor.

Faculty Planning to Participate in Ceremony

Faculty planning to walk and participate in the ceremony should arrive and be in line and in full academic regalia no later than 4:30 p.m.

  • Faculty processing in with their departments are asked to arrive no later than 4:30 p.m. and enter Reynolds Coliseum through the East Entrance, which is closest to the Reynolds parking lot and deck. You will line up in the Media Room, which will be to the right after you enter Reynolds via the East Entrance.
  • Faculty Advisors processing with their doctoral students are asked to arrive no later than 4:30 p.m. and enter Reynolds Coliseum through the East Entrance, which is the entrance closest to the Reynolds parking lot and deck. You should meet and line up with your doctoral students in the lobby area near the East Entrance.

Academia regalia

All faculty processing in with their departments or with their doctoral students should wear their full academic regalia.
