Funding
NC State students can afford to study abroad! NC State students typically use a combination of financial aid, scholarships, and personal funds towards their experience. There are many resources available to help fund a study abroad experience, but early planning will help to ensure that students are able to take advantage of the funding available. NC State will award more than a half a million dollars in study abroad scholarships this year and typically 30% of applicants receive scholarships. Deadlines and Timelines
Scholarship applications generally open a semester before the term you intend to go abroad and have deadlines very early on in that semester before you go abroad.
The exception is the NC State Summer Study Abroad Scholarship deadline which is November 15th (two terms before you plan to go abroad).
It is important that you plan early in order to complete your application as well as submit any supporting documentation requested by the deadline.
