PD 685 – Sexual Harassment Conversations with CED MAT students.

March 23, 2018 | 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Recognizing Graduate Students as Key Partners in Campus Sexual Violence Prevention and Response

A campus shows commitment to cultivating a comprehensive approach to sexual violence prevention and response when graduate students are part of their programs. These students play a unique role in campus communities, hovering between undergraduates and faculty and staff. They are highly motivated, experienced both personally and professionally, have access to both undergraduates and employees, and often bring fresh new ideas to old problems. When it comes to sexual violence prevention and response, graduate students can serve as role models to undergraduates, and partners with campus employees. This interactive workshop will build upon their vital role in the community, empowering them with skills to be effective active bystanders and activists against sexual violence, while also equipping them with skills to be compassionate and informed friends and colleagues to survivors.
