PD 541 – A Small Act

We will be hosting a documentary screening of the film “A Small Act” and have a group discussion after the film. The documentary is about a woman, Hilde Back, who donated money for a Kenyan boy, Chris Mburu, to finish secondary school. Chris grew up and attended Harvard Law School and became a human rights activist for the United Nation. To give back to his village, he started a nonprofit organization after Hilde Back and is helping fund top students’ school fees for secondary school. The remarkable film shows how one kind gesture can have a ripple effect in the world.
