Examining Climate, Culture, & Discipline in Schools

NC State’s Principal Preparation program will host “Examining Climate, Culture, and Discipline in Schools: Creating Equity Amidst Inequities” March 12 at the Friday Institute. Two speakers will be featured:

  • 9 a.m.-noon | Matt Hickson
    The MSA student, founder and director of Bull City Schools United, and principal resident at Hillside High School will speak on “A Nationwide Exploration of Best Practices in School Equity and Analysis of Our Own School Climates.”
  • 2-4 p.m. | Gary Ritter, Ph.D.
    The professor of education and public policy at the University of Arkansas will speak on “Student Discipline in Public Schools: Inequities, Implications, & the Impact of Reforms.”
The event is free, but please register to attend.
