The Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development (ELPHD) is home to over a dozen fields of study, 750 graduate students and 45 full-time faculty and staff who aim to improve education\u2014from K-12 schools, to community colleges and universities, to workplace training\u2014through applied theory, rigorous research, professional ethics and data-driven best practice.<\/p>\n\n

Assistant Professor Lam Pham Wins AERA Outstanding Reviewer Award for the Second Time<\/h3>\n \n\n \n\t \t

Lam Pham, an assistant professor of educational evaluation and policy analysis in NC State\u2019s College of Education, has been selected as a 2026 American Educational Research Association (AERA) Outstanding Reviewer for his work with Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis.\n<\/span>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/svg><\/span><\/p>\n\t \t \n <\/div>\n\n <\/a>\n\n \n

Why Gifts Matter: Providing Extraordinary Opportunities for Future Teachers<\/h3>\n \n\n \n\t \t

Currently, there are five active endowed Extraordinary Opportunity Scholarship Initiative scholarships in the College of Education. In 2025\u201326, 13 undergraduates from across the college were awarded scholarships from those five active endowments. A sixth EOSI endowment in the College of Education will be awarded for the first time in 2026-2027.\u00a0\n<\/span>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/svg><\/span><\/p>\n\t \t \n <\/div>\n\n <\/a>\n\n \n

Rhea Banerjee Joining College of Education as Assistant Teaching Professor in Counseling and Counselor Education<\/h3>\n \n\n \n\t \t

Rhea Banerjee will join NC State\u2019s College of Education as an assistant teaching professor in counseling and counselor education beginning Aug. 16, 2026. Currently, Banerjee serves as an assistant teaching professor in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions at Rutgers University.\n<\/span>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/svg><\/span><\/p>\n\t \t \n <\/div>\n\n <\/a>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Thanks to the investments of donors to the College of Education, we are able to offer a number of scholarships to students in the Department of ELPHD as well as assistantship opportunities. Many are specific to students earning a degree from our department.<\/p>\n\t \t \n
