American Education Week

The NC State College of Education will host a number of events and activities to celebrate American Education Week Nov. 14-Nov. 18. Help us celebrate extraordinary educators and the field of education by participating in our activities and events below.

Weeklong activities

Education Council Canned Food Drive

Ed Council will host a School Supply Drive Nov. 14-18. All donations will be given to a local school in need of supplies. Drop-off boxes will be placed in the South Atrium of Poe Hall. Suggested donations: No donation is too small!

Books that Matter feat. You!

Join COMID and METRC as we celebrate #aew22 and its theme, Together for Safe, Just, and Equitable Schools, by contributing to our culturally responsive book directory. Our goal is to compile a comprehensive list of books that address the issues of safety, justice, and equity in schools. Each contribution will enter you into a drawing for free book giveaways! Click here to help us create a well-rounded directory of literature.

Thank an Educator

All week long stop by the South Atrium of Poe Hall to Thank an Educator This station is sponsored by the Student Diversity Programming Board.

Button Bonanza!

Show your pride in being an educator or make a gift for a teacher at the button-making station in METRC. They will have all the supplies for making 2 ¼” pin-on buttons — bring your creativity and take home a button.
