IHE Report
In an effort to certify and maintain the highest quality teacher and school administrator preparation programs, the State of North Carolina requires each North Carolina institution of Higher Education to prepare an annual performance report (IHE Performance Report). The IHE Performance Report includes the following elements:
(i) quality of students entering the schools of education, including the average grade point average and average score on pre-professional skills tests that assess reading, writing, math and other competencies;
(ii) graduation rates;
(iii) time-to-graduation rates;
(iv) average scores of graduates on professional and content area examination for the purpose of certification;
(v) percentage of graduates receiving initial certification;
(vi) percentage of graduates hired as teachers;
(vii) percentage of graduates remaining in teaching for four years;
(viii) graduate satisfaction based on a common survey; and
(ix) employer satisfaction based on a common survey.
Per North Carolina General Statute 115c 296 (b) the NC State College of Education has prepared and submitted its North Carolina Institution of Higher Education Performance Report (IHE Report). NC State’s IHE Performance report for the current years and prior years can be found at:
