Alumna Selected as Regional Teacher of the Year

Alumna Paige Elliott was recently named Regional Teacher of the Year. The regional honor includes Wake, Durham, Franklin, Granville, and Johnston counties. This makes her one of nine finalists in the running for North Carolina Teacher of the Year in April 2008.
Elliott was also selected as the Wake County Public School System Teacher of the Year in May of 2007.
Elliott has taught high school english at Fuquay-Varina High School, in Fuquay-Varina, N.C., for ten years. She received both a B.A. and M.Ed. from NC State, and continues to be closely connected to the College through her involvement with the Capitol Area Writing Project.
