Technology Education Program
![]() |
The Technology Education Program provides a technical foundation for a variety of employment opportunities including certification as a teacher of technology education as well as non-certification options. There is currently a strong demand for technology education teachers throughout the State of North Carolina and the nation.
One goal of technology education is to generate a general appreciation and understanding of modern technology. The program focuses on many of the technology skills required by our society as it faces increasing competition in a global economy.
The content of the Technology Education Program is organized around systems including construction--buildings and structures; manufacturing--the organization of labor, tools and materials; transportation--the movement of people and products from place to place; and communication technology--the transmission and reception of ideas.
Technology Education also offers graduate degrees at the Master's and Doctoral levels. For more information on the programs, please select the appropiate link below.
