Science Education Program

Science Education provides leadership in science education through high-quality degree programs, through research and development and through a wide range of service and technical assistance activities.

The program offers Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral Programs as well as service courses in science and college teaching. The Ph.D. Program in Science Education is the only one offered in North Carolina. The Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Education (CRMSE) focuses on research, development and program evaluation and is the only center of the North Carolina Mathematics and Science Education Network that is designated as a research center. There is extensive involvement in the service area to professional organizations, school districts and the university community, i.e. special classes, seminars, workshops, consulting and service on college and university committees.
