Karen S. Norwood obtained an Ed.D. in Mathematics Education at Temple University.
• The focus of her current research endeavors is on Alternative Assessments and their effect on student conceptual development. She has received grants from Federal, State and business organizations and various foundations to conduct numerous teacher enhancement, teacher preparation and projects. Over the past several years, she has presented her research at PME-NA, NCTM, AERA, ICME, PME, NAA andICTCM. A number of professional journals have published her research. She is currently writing two college-level mathematics textbooks. In addition, Dr. Norwood has written K-16 curriculum materials for various publishing companies.
• Dr. Norwood's research areas include conceptual change, teaching and learning mathematics and instructional uses of technology.
