Mrs. Eileen Williams earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Mathematics Education from NC State University in 1973 and 1990, respectively. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree, she taught mathematics at the junior high school and senior high school levels in Wake County, NC. She also tutored mathematics for many years.
Prior to and while pursing her Master's Degree, Mrs. Williams taught intermediate algebra at NC State University. She spent seven years working with the North Carolina testing program in mathematics, focusing primarily on alternative forms of assessment.
In her current position since 1995, Mrs. Williams' primary responsibilities include 1) teaching Mathematics Education classes for undergraduate students, licensure-only students and lateral-entry teachers; 2) meeting with and advising prospective transfer students and 3) coordinating the Lateral-Entry Program in Mathematics Education.
