Research Description
Current research is in the feasibility of video games as a supplement to science instruction. By allowing teachers to author video games using the latest game engine and 3D modeling, it is hypothesized teachers will integrate technology into their instruction in a more meaningful and inquiry-based manner. Furthermore, through Voice over IP (VoIP) technology, the 3D, Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) by which the video games are created can be modified to support multiuser, synchronous, online distance learning.
