This
MEGA Mentors home page will provide a virtual "meeting place"
for our group as we develop our current expertise, learn new things,
assess the needs of fellow teachers in our partnership counties,
and develop training modules. All mentors are enrolled in an email
list (mega-mentors@listserv.ncsu.edu) . Any email message sent to
this list will go out to all of us.
The MEGA Mentors program is a virtual phase of the Center for Education
Innovations, a program of the College of Education at a future part
of the Education Neighborhood on Centennial Campus. S. S. Snyder,
Associate Dean for Research and External Affairs, is the Project
Director. Beckey Reed, Lisa Grable, and AnnThompson are on the planning
committee for the project.
MEGA Mentors have been selected from the Triangle East Partnership
counties, Franklin, Wake, and Johnston. Their mission is to advance
the use of technology and integration of curriculum at the middle
school level. Their goal is to provide training and examples of
model classroom practice members of MEGA. MEGA (Middle Educators
Global Activities) is a technology support network to the teachers
all over North Carolina and beyond.
MEGA Mentors and MEGA are supported in part by the NC State Office
of School Services and the Departmetn of Education NC Catalyst grant.
