Books
A wide selection of books including K-12 literature is available for checkout. Much of our material is selected for educators. Titles may be searched using the NCSU online catalog.
Audiovisual Materials
Videos, DVDs, kits, games, and maps may be previewed and borrowed for classroom use. These materials are not available for interlibrary loan or for checkout by persons from cooperating universities. Titles may be searched using the NCSU online catalog. Items must be requested and checked out in person in the College of Education media center with appropriate NCSU ID card.
Mobile Classrooms
Two mobile carts makes it possible for any room in Poe Hall to become a temporary computer lab. The carts includes both iBooks and Dell laptops. Demand for this equipment is high so it is important to reserve it as much in advance as possible.
Standardized Test Library
The Test Collection is searchable through the online catalog.
Textbook Library
The CED media center collects all K-12 North Carolina state-adopted textbooks in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies as well as selected textbooks in foreign language, vocational education, and arts education. Current state adopted textbooks are not available for interlibrary loan.
Production Facilities
Our production facilities include web cameras, video editing, digital cameras, a Thermofax transparency maker, digital recorders, a laminator ($1/foot), a typewriter, an Ellison die cut machine and sheet-fed and flatbed scanners. Posters can be made using the Wolfcopy plotter printer (.80/sq. ft). Transparencies can be made using the transparency maker or a copy machine.
