This instructional module is intended to provide a basic tutorial on how to conduct a field recording of a subject's interactions on a computer. The goal is to create two videos, one of the computer screen (a dynamic screen capture) with the nNovia DV to Disk Recorder and one of the subject interacting at the computer with the Mini DV Camcorder. These videos will then be edited in post-production video editing software to create a picture-in-picture effect, such that the main (large) video will be the dynamic screen capture and the picture-in-picture (small) video will be that of the subject. Only one audio feed will be recorded for both of the videos.

Finished Example

In the example field recording, the subject is recorded interacting with a chess application.
