Leadership, Policy and Adult and Higher Education
Welcome from the Department HeadWelcome to the website of the Department of Leadership, Policy and Adult and Higher Education (LPAHE). We are a dynamic and diverse community deeply committed to educational equity and student success. The Department is home to 26 full-time faculty and staff, about 30 adjunct faculty and field supervisors, and more than 600 doctoral and master’s degree students. We are committed and successful teachers, researchers, and mentors striving to assist our students to enhance both their careers and lives. The Department’s vibrant research culture enhances our teaching, advising, and dissertation supervision. Our faculty are studying and working to improve some of the most complex and pressing contemporary issues and problems: community-focused school-level leadership development for high poverty rural schools; college access and student success; workplace bullying; and improving state and institutional and policies for adult learning. Information about our program areas and details about the research interests and publications of faculty members are included on this website. You will also find a link to the dissertation titles of our recent graduates, which shows the wide range of interests they have pursued. We are proud of our graduates and their professional accomplishments. Thank you for your interest in our Department. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our distinctive programs. We also look forward to interacting with you directly as you seek to learn more about our programs and services. Sincerely, Mary Ann Danowitz, Ed. D.
