Kari Kuebel is the School Partnership Liaison for the Elementary Education Department. She assists the School Partnership Network Coordinator in her efforts to oversee placements of ELM students in local elementary schools for multiple placement levels and student teaching. This involves working and communicating closely with University faculty and staff, elementary teachers, and our students to ensure a successful internship experience for all.
Kari is the co-facilitator of the Summer Institute for School-Based Teacher Educators and University Supervisors, an event in which our program’s School-Based Teacher Educators (cooperating teachers) are trained in research-based mentoring and coaching practices to contribute to the development of the teacher candidates enrolled in the ELM program.
Additionally, Kari has taught ELM 375 and ELM 330 for the department, and supervises at ELM Partnership Schools.
Kari taught for 6 years after graduating from Pennsylvania State University (Love ya Lions!). She received her Masters Degree in C&I: Literacy from NC State.
Kari’s other job is coaching a swim team for children, ages 3-18.
In her spare time, Kari enjoys reading, swimming, hiking, and cooking. She also treasures spending time with her husband and her dog.
