In addition to Unity Course Lockers which are hosted in AFS space and are accessible through the J:\ network drive on Unity Windows 2000 stations or through MSFS on Macintosh Unity stations, some instructors have Class Folders on one of the College's Novell Servers, CED3. It is a simple process to access these Class Folders from either Windows 2000 Unity stations or Macintosh Unity stations.
1) After logging in with your Unity account, right-click on the My Network Places desktop icon and select Novell Map Network Drive from the menu.
2) In the Map Drive window, select a drive letter that is not already in use. 3) Enter \\ced3\data\classfolders\ as the network path to the resource.
4) Click Map.
Provided that you have rights to one of the Class Folders hosted on the server, a window should open displaying your class' folder. This directory is now mapped to the drive letter you selected and it's contents are accessible through My Computer, the Windows Explorer, and Open/Save dialog windows.
The Class Folders on CED3 can be accessed from any Mac with a network connection. The steps are slightly different for Macs running OS 9 and OS X.
