Teaching Fellows
Founded in 1987, by the NC Public School Forum and funded by the NC General Assembly, the Teaching Fellows Program strives to graduate well-prepared teachers, deeply committed to high quality educational experiences for tomorrow's young people. At NC State, the total enrollment of Teaching Fellows is approximately 127. Their offices are located in Poe Hall room 408.
Educational Information Technology
EdIT maintains the physical and technological infrastructure of the College. In addition, members of the group act as a resource for faculty, staff and students on issues related to technology. This work includes support of instructional technology both in the College and in the public schools of North Carolina. The group also provides strategic planning for facilities renovations, capital improvements, computing and networking. They maintain and manage the Computer Labs of Poe Hall.
Learning Technologies
Learning Technologies facilitates faculty, staff and student use of electronic media, tools and resources. Its objective is not only to help keep the college aware of the technology available for enhancing learning, research and professional practice, but also to provide an environment for experimentation with technology for instruction.
Media Center
The Library Media Center supports the College of Education and the Department of Psychology with educational materials including books, journals, textbooks, reserves, and audiovisual resources. It provides equipment for checkout to instructors and students who have classes in Poe Hall. Workshops in the use of equipment or software instruction for groups or individuals may be pre-arranged. The media center also houses a 20 workstation (PC & Mac) open computer lab with access to Unity print quota printers, cash printers, and 3 Wolf copycard copy machines.
Affiliated with the NCSU Libraries, the Media Center materials can be accessed through the D.H. Hill online catalog. The media center can request items for delivery from D.H. Hill. During the regular school year a reference librarian from D.H. Hill, maintains office hours in the LTRC media center.
