C&I Masters
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers courses leading to the Master of Education (non-thesis), Master of Science (thesis), and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Graduate programs are designed to prepare classroom teachers, researchers, supervisors, instructional specialists, curriculum developers, teacher educators, and consultants. Graduates may enter positions in public schools, service agencies, higher education institutions, and industry. The Department currently includes a diversity of highly qualified full-time and part-time students. Master's programs are designed to meet professional standards. Some programs may offer field-based experiences. Faculty advisors are available in all program areas.
The Department has 26 full-time faculty members and more than 250 graduate students.

Masters Admission Procedures
Departmental deadlines for completed master's degree applications are October 1 (Spring) and March 1 (Summer or Fall). Late or incomplete applications will have to wait until the next department deadline to be reviewed. Departmental action on applications is taken once during the fall semester and once during the spring semester. All supporting documents must be received by the departmental deadline in order for an application to be considered. (Note: The departmental deadlines are earlier than those of the Graduate School.)
Admission Requirements
1. Application fee of $65.
2. Two official copies of all transcripts.
3. Scores from either the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or the Graduate Record Exam (GRE).
4. Three letters of recommendation.
5. A 500-800 word goals statement.
6. Faculty may contact you if more information is needed.

Continuous Enrollment
Students must be continuously enrolled in the fall and spring semesters throughout their graduate programs of study.
