Counseling Lab
The Counseling Lab offers counseling services to the Raleigh, NC community. Approximately one-half of departmental practicum requirements at the masters level are met in this facility, staffed by intern-counselors under faculty supervision.

The lab has numerous rooms for counseling which are equipped with one-way
mirrors and intercom systems for observation and supervision. In addition,
this facility houses a small library of counseling aids such as: tests,
inventories, and occupational materials. This material is available for
use by practicum students and their clients.
In addition to its formal counseling use, the lab is also utilized as an
informal meeting and gathering place for students and faculty. A student
study area houses student mailboxes, space to study, and various information
on internships and job information. There is a large conference room in
the rear of the lab which is used for various departmental meetings and
functions. The students also make use of the room for studying and social
gatherings.
The philosophy behind the services offered at the Counseling Lab is to help people to help themselves with concerns about vocational and educational planning, or personal-social adjustment.
