| A native of New England, Dawn Crotty is executive assistant for the National Initiative for Leadership and Institutional Effectiveness and the administrative assistant to Dr. Leila Gonzalez Sullivan in the Department of Adult and Higher Education. Ms. Crotty holds a BA in math from Boston College, and a MS in Operations Research and Statistics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. | |

| Janis came to work at North Carolina State University from Bryson City in the mountains of North Carolina. Her previous position was Personnel Officer and Assistant to the Director of the Department of Social Services for Swain County. Before moving to the NC mountains in 1994, she lived in Gainesville, Florida and worked 14 years at the University of Florida. Her last position was Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Prior to that, Janis was a stay-at-home-mom for about 7 years. She has been married to her husband, John, for 24 years, and they have 3 children, Jennifer, Joanna and Jonathan. Joanna and Jonathan are students at NC State. Jennifer, a graduate of UNC, will soon be living in Hawaii. | |

| Shana joined the department in January of 2002 and serves as the Graduate Program Coordinator and primary contact for all prospective and current AHE graduate students. She along with the Director of Graduate Programs work closely with students from admission to matriculation. Her role also involves event management such as information sessions for prospective students, orientation for new students, graduation ceremonies, etc... Ms. Scott has several years of experience in higher education as well as the legal and law enforcement fields. Ms. Scott did undergraduate work in human resource management/psychology at Barton College and has resumed her educational endeavors here at NCSU. | |
