Background
Dr. Kathryn M. Moore received a BA and BS in English and History and an MA in Higher Education from the Ohio State University. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies with minors in American History and Educational Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dr. Moore served at Michigan State University in several capacities before becoming Dean of the NCSU College of Education in August 2000. From 1996-2000 she was Professor and Director for the Center for the Study of Advanced Learning Systems, in the College of Education, from 1991-1996 she was Chairperson and Professor for the Department of Educational Administration, and from 1988 - 2000 she was Professor of Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education in the Department of Educational Administration.
From 1977-1988 Dean Moore served in several capacities at the Center for the Study of Higher Education at Pennsylvania State University including Director, Professor, Senior Research Associate, and Associate Professor. From 1971-1977 she was an Associate then an Assistant Professor in the Education Department of New York State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. Dean Moore served at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a project assistant in the Office of the Dean of Students then as an Assistant to the Associate Dean in the College of Letters and Science.
