Licensure/Accreditation
The College of Education is the lead professional education unit on campus. The College works closely with affiliated professional programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Science and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences to provide a comprehensive array of fully accredited programs designed to meet both state and national standards.
The Unit's professional educator licensure programs are approved by the N. C. State Board of Education through the NC Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) and the Unit is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The College of Education is commited to providing an excellent faculty and programs that prepare our candidates to teach. Graduates are equiped with the leadership skills, sound content knowledge, and excellent pedagogy.
