Application Requirements   All candidates interested in a Noyce scholarship should submit:

  • Official transcript if applicant is a non-NCSU student. Copy of an unofficial transcript for NCSU students.
  • Short essay describing their experience working with high school students, explaining why they are interested in being a Noyce Scholar and teaching in a high-need school district, and detailing what makes them a good candidate.
  • Three letters of recommendation, two that address academic strengths, and one that addresses character and commitment to youth in informal and formal teaching settings.
Deadline for submission: 
March 1st for Undergraduate Applicants 
May 1st for Graduate Applicants (with priority given to those who apply by March 1st)
                  
  • Top candidates may be interviewed in March
  • Final selection will occur in early April for undergraduate applicants and priority graduate applicants
  • Scholarships will be awarded the following Fall semester
