Through generous funding from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, the College of Education offers a scholarship and post-graduation package to rising juniors and seniors willing to double major, committed to academic achievement in science and a willingness to become a licensed science teacher in the North Carolina Public School System.
Award:
•$6,500 annual scholarship (up to two years)
•$5,000 annual teaching salary supplement (up to five years)
•One-on-one mentoring program with faculty
•Seminars and programs designed for scholars
•Future educational travel support
