Lesson
Plan:
- Divide
your class into three groups assigning each group a Delany family
member
(Rev. Henry Beard Delany, Sarah Delany, & Elizabeth Delany).
- Have each
group do research on their particular person. We have suggested three
books for starters, but students are encouraged to use other sources
for their research.
- Students
need to write a research paper on their Delany family member.
- The groups
need to present their findings to the class. They can communicate
what they found in various ways such as: role-playing, oral presentations,
and making models or drawing.
