for a Haywood Hall Field Trip

What?
Have you been searching for an educational fieldtrip? Are you having trouble finding one that not only incorporates North Carolina history but also lends itself to many other subjects? Is it difficult to find projects that your students will enjoy?  The school year can get tedious without varied projects. Haywood Hall can provide a wealth of activities and a wide range of topics.

Where?
To learn the background of Raleigh’s gracious home, Haywood Hall, just visit the history page! You will be amazed at the strong, compassionate family that inhabited Haywood Hall for over 170 years as well as the visitors and events that have occurred in this illustrious home.

When?
Visit for a free tour on Thursdays, 10:30 am – 1 pm, 211 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601. From late December until February, the home is closed for refurbishing. The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of North Carolina manage the home since Mrs. Sterns, a Haywood ancestor donated the home for education and preservation. Haywood Hallmay also be rented for special events such as private meetings, weddings, receptions, luncheons, and other civic and social events.
